SAD NEWS: On March 23, 2009, Richard (Dick) Gibbs lost his long and brave battle with cancer. Dick celebrated his 80th birthday on February 15. Dick and his design partner Rod McAlpine-Downie designed many sailboats including the Sidewinder, Copperhead, Shark, Dingo, Mutineer and Buchaneer. Those who knew him will miss his razor wit, his compassion and his wisdom. Sail on Dick!
