Im looking to buy a spinnaker kit for a sidewinder. If anyone has one they would like to sell please contact me dodgesuperbee383@gmail.com. OR If anyone has dimensions of the spinnaker pole, and sail, and possibly the sheet, that would do me worlds as well. Thanks,by Sidewinder1 - classifieds
Ok well I fixed my trailer and took the boat by a very reputable boat repair place and my estimate came back at around 4k. That is unfortunately more than I can justify spending. Apparently the damage was internal as well. Being on the road for work I won't have the time to learn/fix it trial and error style. The good news is I'll have all the screwed down hardware available to those who mighby Sidewinder1 - sailmfg
Good Deal, Im going to get the estimate, my local racing association gave me some information of some local guys that do great work. I figure the cost of getting this one fixed is probably about the same as me driving across the country to find another one. Yeah my wife does feel terrible, and I do Thank my lucky stars every day for her. Some friends of my wife's have a Catalina, don't kby Sidewinder1 - sailmfg
Well, my maiden voyage was not ment to be.... my wife, the loving woman that she is, got off work early, hitched up the sidewinder, and headed out to supprise me at the lake after work. Ten miles into her jurney to she had to pull over on the shoulder because she thought something was a miss... now be mindful she has never towed anything ever before. she checked the trailer hitch and everything lby Sidewinder1 - sailmfg
don't know how much this helps but my sail number is #830 and its a '72 model. I don't know how many were made a year, a day, etc... Mattby Sidewinder1 - sailmfg
don't know if you have already figured this out, but I too am looking to find the proper size and diameter for the Mainsheet. I would think it would be about 25' long.... but I could be wrong. My sunfish has a 25' mainsheet, and it seems very overzealous but that's what its supposed to be. About how long is yours? Thanks, Mattby Sidewinder1 - sailmfg
Im going to make the attempt to post some pictures of the sidewinder after I got her all rigged up yesterday. Lets hope those work shall we. Im going to take her on her maiden voyage this afternoon afterwork, basicly a "lets see what leaks" test. Ill update when I get back. Mattby Sidewinder1 - sailmfg

Good morning, I got out yesterday rigged up the sidewinder on the trailer. More or less to see if everything was there. Everything rigged up and the boat looked pretty good. Some of the Lind that came with the boat looks a little off though, my halyard is about the 40 foot it should be, down haul is enough to go fro. The boom to the cleat on deck with a little to spare. Good Morning, Yesterday I brought home my sidewinder, better specs below. Im pretty new to sailing, and im pretty excited about the sidewinder. I learned on a sunfish, and have been told the sidewinder is a lot faster. Plus its bigger and will hold me and my wife. I live in Houston Texas and would eventually like to race in the Wed. night races on clear lake. Ill try and figure out how toby Sidewinder1 - sailmfg
