Hi Tom!
I'm writing this on behalf of my 16 yr. old son. He doesn't know I'm helping him look....
Two summers ago he learned how to sail while earning his sailing merit badge at boy scout camp. He was hooked on sailing and with his own money he bought a sidewinder. The problem was the boat was missing the centerboard. We didn't think this would be such a big deal to replace. Turns out it is a big deal. He has yet to sail the boat. This will be summer number three if he can't find one.
I can tell you that he doesn't have a lot of money to spend and depending on shipping he could have even less. I believe he has just about $80.00-100.00 total. I guess it will depend on what your willing to let it go for and where you are located.
I noticed in your ad that you referred to the boat as a sidewinder 15. We have always called his a sidewinder. Are they the same thing? Does your centerboard have the same dimensions as the one that is shown on this site?
Let me know.
Doreen
