Rudder and Centerboard Replacement for Sidewinder

Well, my bad luck with my Sidewinder continues...

Yesterday I tried to go out and sail only to discover that my centerboard and rudder had been stolen out of my boat in my backyard. No idea why someone would want them but who knows...

Anyway, was wondering if anyone had any ideas about how to replace these two parts or if I should just give up and junk the boat. Or if anyone has parts for sale I would also be interested.

Thanks for your help.

Most likely they were stolen by someone who wants to resell the metal. Right now scrap metal is pretty valuable.

I guess this is a lesson for all of us. I'm sorry it happened to you.

If you take the centerboard drawing from the Sidewinder page, just about any metal fabricator should be able to cut one out for you. For the guides/bumpers, I would check Home Depot in the hardware isle. They look a lot like furniture leg bottoms.

I'll take mine out and see if I can get a match for you. The other is Mid Atlantic Rubber Co. They have a variety of bumpers that I think will work.

Good Luck.
