look at the bottom of this page: I helped a guy put one of these on his chrysler buccaneer today and it worked like a charm, i think its cheap and it should last longer than the stock rubber stuff.by scottshillsailor - sailmfg
A little update on my project, I took the boat up to camp friday and wasnt planning on taking it out but by the time I had gotten the mast stepped and whatnot there were a few sunfish putting around in 15 kt winds or so. Of course i had to go out there and sail circles around them, literally. I am pretty sure that is the fastest I have ever had the boat and that was alone. the only real changeby scottshillsailor - sailmfg
I finally got back out on the sidwinder today with a few friends, when I first got to the ramp I decided that it would be stupid to try to learn to fly the spinnaker as the wind was blowing a good 20 kts. I left the kite onshore and went out sloop rigged, and we were flying from beam- to beam for a good 3 1/2 min before I broke one of my brand new shrouds. Luckily i broke stuff in the right plaby scottshillsailor - sailmfg
Virgin islands were amazing the whole time i was down there i was lookin for a small boat to sail. I've got the spin ready to fly, just waitin on someone with a little sense to go make a fool of themselves with me but i need to find somewhere to keep the pole without loosing it or sticking it through a sail.by scottshillsailor - sailmfg
I acquired a spinnaker today that is for a sailboat, and thats about all i know hopefully it is close to the right size. Now the fun part will be figuring out how to rig it. HOpefully it will be flying in the next week or so, i'll let y'all know how it goesby scottshillsailor - sailmfg

Unless you are trying to keep your boat as original as possible it would not be too hard to enlarge the hole for the new bailer, the fiberglass in the bottom of the hull is only about 1/4" thick and solid.by scottshillsailor - sailmfg
I measured the Bailer earlier this afternoon and if i remember correctly the outside demensions were 3" by 2 1/4" I dont know what that is in mm but i'm sure there is a conversion out there somewhere, hope this helps. Grayby scottshillsailor - sailmfg
I do not know the demensions off the top of my head, but i will try to get out there and measure it when i get homeby scottshillsailor - sailmfg
I found a few different styles of bailers from anapolis performance sailing, none of them are exactly like what was original in the sidewinder, and i'm not sure exactly what the size of the original was but if anyone is interested the website is:by scottshillsailor - sailmfg
Does anyone know where to find the rectangular push-style cockpit bailers that came in sidewinders? I had to take parts from the bailer on my other sidewinder to make the one in my good boat work, but i would like to put an aditional bailer in the other side of the cockpit replacing the ball type scupper that just dosent seem to work as well. any help would be appreciated, Grayby scottshillsailor - sailmfg
Paul, the pintle is the pin that holds the rudder to the gudgeon, and in turn the transom.by scottshillsailor - sailmfg
I guess now that I know how to rig it up the next question would be does anyone have a partial spinnaker kit they are willing to part with for cheap, I already have the blocks on the rails and a spinnaker pole and I can get most of the other hardware, I guess all i really need is the spinnaker itself and the bracket for the pole. the boat is already a blast on a broad reach, It must scream withby scottshillsailor - sailmfg

My old sidewinder was disabled for a few decades after the boat turtled and the old pintle fell out, I wound up having to find a whole new boat because you cannot find parts for these old boats anymore. I drilled a hole through the bottom of my new pintle and put an o-ring through there, hopefully that will keep this from happening again.by scottshillsailor - sailmfg
