I need to buy a tiller extension as my boat didn't come with one so any information on it would be appreciated by me also!by Erik - sailmfg
I’m starting the process of repairing and restoring my sidewinder (serial #906) and I’ve never w orked on a boat before so I’m looking for some help compiling resources for future restorers! I intend to document and post photos of the process as much as possible. There are a few shallow cracks in the hull and topside along with some more serious cracks on the deck by the centerboard. I definitely had the "coffee can" style covers! So I guess i'll look for some other port-holes at the local marine store. Do you happen to know if theres a standardized size i shoulby Erik - sailmfg
Also does anyone have any experience replacing the portholes?by Erik - sailmfg
Brought my sidewinder out for the second sail I’ve done with it and during the course of the sail I capsized (as you do) but instead of being able to grab onto the centerboard and right it, it just kept going down till it was sitting on the lakebed... apparently both of the porthole covers came off when it capsized and the hull just completely filled with water.
