Dan, I bought about 18 linear ft of shock cord and it was more than enough. At this point, the centerboard on my bandit does not move as freely as it used to so there is little need for the shock cord (shock cord only helps keep it down, right?). I think I need to get a new rubber gasket for mine.by JayBandit15 - sailmfg
The pin for my rudder looks the same as the one in the pic but is twice as long. The only way it could come out is if the boat is completely capsized (turtle) - and even at that it would be unlikely that it would come out because of the pressure put on it by the rudder. I am taking my bandit 15 out of the water (Cape Cod) this weekend and can get you dims & pics if need be.by JayBandit15 - sailmfg
Hi all. I have a Bandit 15 that hasn't been touched in 25 years. I am replacing lines and bought the 3/16" Dacron that the manual recommends for the jib halyard tail and the mainsail halyard tail. The problem I have is that the knots (bunt line hitch knot) do not fit through the pulleys at the bottom of the mast step. Can I used smaller line like 1/8"? Neither really bare any sby JayBandit15 - sailmfg
