The hatch covers are easy. Check Annapolis Perfomance Sailing to see your options, The opening is 5 inches. I had to fine tune it a bit with a rasp to get them to fit. I used pop rivets & marine silicone sealer The drain plugs covers I use ar 5/8" baitwell plugs. About $3 for two pack at Dunhams. The other option for the screws is to put an additional inspection port in the baby Wlukhaup - sailmfg
I have Sidewinder that does not have a mast collar. Rather, I have a Sidewinder and pieces of the mast collar. As a temporary fix I've put a 3 inch Fernco plumbing adapter over the mast. I think that should stop abrasion on the mast step. This seems to be a common situation with these boats. I could have a machine shop turn one for except that would be at least $200. I'm going to put a new post out to see how others have dealt with the mast collar situationby Wlukhaup - sailmfg
Thanks. Just ordered a replacement from APS. I have now sailed it as a catboat. Still need a few more pieces to get the jib rigging complete - disks for the spool on the furler, shrouds, etc. FYI I had a machine shop make replacement fittings for the luff pole as the orginals were broken. Not cheap. The product is much better than the originals as they are machine and not cast. The mastby Wlukhaup - sailmfg
I just purchased a Sidewinder. It has the equipment for the slop rig however no stays. Do have the fittings. What are the lengths of the stays?by Wlukhaup - sailmfg
Thanks. That makes sense. BTW - how did you reattach the tub?by Wlukhaup - sailmfg
Just bought a Sidewinder - hull 1373. Took it sailing out & found out there is a leak somewhere. There are some cracks in the hull bottom that may be the cause. Trying to decide which is the best way to reinforce it (ingternal or external) Did the hull and tub separate on your boat or did you cut out the tub right above floor of the cockpit ?by Wlukhaup - sailmfg
