Spam

Hi Folks,

I have noticed some spam lately and a lot of attempts by automated robots to join the forum. Joe just pointed out that we had a bad attack. Thanks for reporting that, Joe.

If this keeps up I will have to implement some other method for new people to request access to the forum.

Please have patience while we work through this.

It looks like the spammers are at it again. Can anything be done to eliminate them from screwing up our forum?

It looks like the forum developer has a "Spam Hurdles Module" available to cut down on this. Not sure what version Paul is running though.

Thanks, Joe. The software is going to be updated very soon (this weekend, perhaps?) and then I can try to install that module.

I see our spammers are at it again. Too bad they might destroy an informative and important website for the MFG sailboat owners.
