Can't help you, as I don't have a copperhead. I assume you've seen the rig details on this website? The sail area is listed as 85 square feet. A google search shows the sunfish as 75 square feet. So it might work for now. The sunfish hull is 130 lbs vice the copperhead at 135 lbs. So if you don't get any better information from a copperhead owner, then the sunfish dagger board dimensions might be a good place to start. Here is a link to details I found online:

It looks like Copperheads have the same centerboard rigging as the Sidewinder. Your boat is a bit smaller and a cat-rig, but the dimensions may be close to the same. Check the centerboard diagram in the Sidewinder section, then match these up with your dagger board socket size.

hello Joe I saw that the trunk area looks about the same on the sidewinder and copperhead and I was assuming the same thing too
But do you have any measurements of trunk area "where the dagger board would be " to make a comparison ?

I meant to get out and measure the socket, but I've been busy with a remodel project all weekend. I'll try and get out there and measure it for you this week. Mine may be a bit longer because it can be setup as both a cat-rig and a sloop rig.
I promise to get back with you.

Thanks then I can compare and make a better guess "mathematically"

I sold my copperhead to my nieghbor. the center board was made from 5\8 marine plywood. It is similar to the sidewinder but is shorter and a little wider. I will get some dimentions ASAP. I also have a complete sidewinder rudder but don't know if I will selll. When I got my copperhead it was just the hull, rudder, and centerboard. I used a sidewinder mast, sail and boom on it and worked awesome.

Here you go CD.....

These pictures show both placements of the centerboard.
I hope this helps.

BTW: You got the fire started under me to get mine in the water. Unfortunately I have a bathroom to finish.
