Does anyone else have a 15' MFG boat? I am seeing 19's all over the place... anyone know why? (other than they made more).

A photo of a MFG Challenger was posted on the front page. Thanks whoever did that, it really helped!

I have one I am restoring. So far, I need a rudder and tiller.
For a website, search for "sailboat MFG 15", which took me on Google to a good site.

We just got a Teal 16, which is sometimes referred to as a 15. We started a flickr photo album at: [www.flickr.com]

I have a 15 1/2- 16 ' Sidewinder. I'm not sure, but perhaps the 19' were produced after or longer than the Sidewinder.
I love my Sidewinder. Great size, speed, light, totally easy to trailer it and go sailing by yourself.

I have to agree with Curtvk, I pull my Sidewinder with a 4 cyl Mitsubishi Eclipse.

I am also restoring a Sidewinder 15.5. I want to replace the fork gooseneck with one less likely to snag the jib sheets. I am in the process of machining a circular mast piece, with plans to cut the fork off and bolt it to the mast piece. Does anyone have a solution that does not involve destroying the fork?

Take a piece of rubber hose 9" long with inside diameter of about 1" and put it over the ends of the fork.
