bandit17

I found an old bandit 17 in a warehouse.... some parts seem to be missing but its in pretty good shape...needs buffed out no tiller, rudder maisheet , boom , jib guides and blocks. In other words I need parts. Does anyone have a resource? thanks Coronado 3270

I have a Bandit 17, and may be able to help. There is no specification list, that I know of, and no supplier. But the brochure presented online here is helpful. In general, the parts you want are fairly standard on the original, and not especially high quality. If you use blocks and rigging that match up, you should have no problems. The original rudder arrangement is a kick up but it does not have the standard gudgeons and pintles. Frankly, the original is weird and not especially easy to use.

If I were you, I would look to get generic parts from Defender.com, and possibly use parts for the O'Day daysailor, which is a similar boat. Send me any specific questions you have.
