MFG Bandit 17 - Pictures

Hello,

I just wanted to share few pictures of my MFG Bandit 17. They were taken on a very cold windy day last September on Keystone Power Dam, PA. I endured the cold just to get on the water one last time before winter. According to a Marine app on my phone, I did top speed of 7.5 knots (hull max speed is 8 knots), which was a great ride. If anyone has tips on doing small sail repairs I will take your advice. I believe the sails that came with the boat are original, thus 36 years old. The jib is still in very good shape, but the main sail needs some repairs around the batten pockets. For those of you that may consider to buy or restore one, Bandit 17 is very easy to set up and sail, and it fits a crew of four comfortably.

Just wanted to say nice boat. I sat down with needle, sail thread, extra dacron & sails, hand stiched what needed a little TLC. enjoy the breeze.
